The Chair of Physical Geography and Geoecology main topic is landscape evolution in space and time. Our prinicipal methodological approaches are geomorphological, sedimentological and soil studies as well as the use of advanced remote sensing and GIS techniques. Our national and international cooperations partners are from gouvernmental as well as from private insitutions. Photo: V. Nottebaum.
The Chair of Physical Geography and Geoecology can rely on a wide range of equipment. Our laboratory is equipped for a variety of physical and geochemical sediment measurements. In the field of remote sensing, optical satellite data can be evaluated. A drone can be used for small scale studies. In addition, an augmented reality sandbox is available for teaching. Photo: P.
